Destination Grand Canyon 2020

I woke this morning in the pitch dark. Excited. We are going on another adventure! Turned out that it was already 7am, but being in the PNW in late October, the sun had not yet risen. For every long, bright summer day, there is a winter one, when you go to work in the dark, and come home in the dark. All to say, I’m very glad to be heading South today.

We are driving our (very well maintained, hand detailed, thanks Won) Honda CR-V from Wenatchee this afternoon. Destination: the Grand Canyon. We trade our faithful carriage for a Sprinter campervan tomorrow in Salt Lake City.

Life after COVID19 is almost unrecognizable from life before. And yet these things are the same: joy at the dawn of a new adventure, gratitude for our health and the opportunity to take a socially distanced vacation, and chronic worry that I forgot something while packing.
